This policy explains how the Plantelli app ("the App", "we", "us"), published by Brainwave Solutions Inc., handles your information. In short: the App has no accounts and no login, your garden data stays on your device, and we do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Information the App handles
- Garden details you enter (your city, beds, and plants) are saved locally in your device's browser storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to our servers.
- Location is used to fetch local weather for watering, frost, and hail guidance. Depending on how you set up the App, this is either the city you enter or your device location. The coordinates are sent to the Open-Meteo weather service to retrieve a forecast. Location is not used to identify you.
- Photos and camera: when you use Diagnose or Build from photo, the image you capture or choose is sent to our processing endpoint and on to a third-party AI vision provider, solely to analyze the plant and return guidance. Images are used only to produce that result. They are not used to identify you and not used for advertising.
- Your own AI key (optional): if you choose to use your own provider key instead of the built-in service, it is stored only on your device and sent directly to that provider.
- Notifications (frost, hail, watering reminders) are scheduled locally on your device from the weather forecast. We do not run a push server.
How your information is used
Only to provide the App's features: local weather and watering guidance, plant diagnosis, and on-device reminders. We do not build advertising or marketing profiles.
Services we rely on
- Open-Meteo,weather forecasts (receives location coordinates).
- A third-party AI vision provider,analyzes plant photos you submit for diagnosis.
- Vercel,hosts the website and the diagnosis processing endpoint.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Data retention
Garden data stays on your device until you clear the App's data or uninstall it. Photos you submit are processed to generate a result and are not stored by us.
Your choices
- Decline the camera or location permission at any time in your device settings, the rest of the App still works.
- Remove all locally stored data by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
Security
All network requests use encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the date above when we do.
